As part of Stosaic’s workshop with Craven Community College, we took ideas and scenarios suggested by workshop participants and created a custom short story for them, written by author Ryan McGinnis. The story reflected the lessons learned in the workshop and was given to them as a keepsake afterward.

What Kind of Legacy Do You Want to Leave Behind?
Diane “Dee” Markham is vice president of Workforce and Continuing Education at a regional community college. She is nearing retirement, but first she must oversee the launch of the Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program.
But now, red flags are popping up that remind Dee of a past program that ended in failure and scandal. The College President believes the claims are overblown, but Dee knows all too well what that could cost. Her instincts tell her that she owes it to the students and the school to investigate every claim, even if it means delaying the launch.
External forces push Dee to ignore the red flags and keep the launch on schedule, while her gut tells her to stand her ground. What kind of Legacy will Dee leave behind?
